Notice the Buddha in the middle of the machine?!
I had one of the originals and it was amazing….
What it is: a device that plays ambient electronics sound loops fused with fuzzy logic and random generated algorithms to continually serve up an atmosphere of ambient muzik.
Where the idea came from: Buddhist temples!”Chant Boxes” were loops of particular chants specific to a certain prayer, a family member passing, or to be left where one’s ashes were interred (let’s face it, buddhists prefer cremation). They could be left on and played until the battery drained, alleviating someone from physically doing the chanting… let’s call it “lazy faith”!
What it can do for you: Soothes and calms a workspace. Eliminates the need to have the TV on “just to hear the voices in the background”. Combined with a binaural brainwave generator, it could stimulate alpha, delta, or theta brainwaves. A physical modality to meditate with. Just a way to simplify and unclog your environment of distractions and nuisances. It’s like a water fountain, without the water and rocks and pump….
